To initiate the advanced search functionality, use the top menu Search > Advanced Search.
Current search settings: adding and removing filters
Use the list of available filters on the left-hand side to choose one or more filters for the new search. When the Add button is clicked the new configuration dialog will be opened for the selected filter. Once the parameters of the selected filter are configured the
selected filter will be shown in the Selected Filters list. To delete the filter from the list of Selected filters, use the Remove button.
Grouping mode
The grouping mode can be specified using the mode switches on the right-hand side:
- All conditions are satisfied. This mode is useful for creating a search strategy which requires several parts of mandatory criteria. The image file is selected only when all of the filters are satisfied.
- Any condition is satisfied. This mode is useful for specifying optional criteria. The file is selected when at least one of the filters is satisfied.
The exception filter
The exception condition can be specified to exclude certain files from the search results.
Once the exception condition is selected, the new dialog will be shown to configure the exception filter parameters.
For example, it is possible to create a search which will include all files except those which contain specific letters in their names.
Saving new filter
When a complex search strategy is created it is possible to save the current search configuration for later use.
Use the Save... button to specify the name of the new filter.
The newly saved filter will appear in the bottom of the list of Availablefilters.
It is possible to build very complex search strategies by combining custom filters together. The custom filter could also be used as Exception filter.
List of Available Filters
The list of available filters contains predefined filters and previously saved custom filters.
