Once the face is confirmed manually, the original image file is modified to store the name of the person and the coordinates of the detected face.
The EXIF information is visible in the File Info panel.
This information is stored in the EXIF / XMP metadata sections in the original image file.
The results of the automatic facial recognition are not written into the original image files and the program may change the automatic results any time.
To rename a person, select him / her in the People panel and use the rename button as shown below.
In order to rename a person all files containing the face of the selected person will be opened automatically and the corresponding record in the metadata has to be changed.
Note, it is important that all files with a selected person have to be visible in the currently opened location.
