Collections (similar to Albums in other software) help to keep track of important files without actually moving them from their original locations.
It is possible to create a hierarchy of collections and add the same file to the different collections.
One a collection is opened, the quick filter buttons can be used to sort / filter files inside a collection.
Collections are accessible through the Collection panel as shown on the screenshot.
To add a new collection, press the right mouse button and choose New...
To add a single or multiple file(s) into a collection, use the context menu and choose "Add to Collection".
To remove a file from a collection, press the Del. key or use the context menu and select "Remove from Collection".
When a file is removed from a collection, the original file is not deleted and stays in the original folder.
Collections are managed internally by the program using the shortcut files on Windows OS and symlinks on MacOS.
The configuration path to the location where all collections are managed can be changed using the program settings.
