Repair Contrast

The Repair Contrast operation is designed to automatically improve the visual quality of the low contrast images. When this batch process is started, only low quality images will be found and processed.

All images in the source location, including images in the subfolders, will be automatically analysed. If the "local contrast" metric of the image is low, the image will be selected and enhanced.

The enhanced image is placed into the destination folder. The original folder structure is automatically preserved in the destination location.

If the original image already has enough contrast, it will be skipped and not copied to the destination location.

Once the source and destination locations are selected, the configuration dialog is shown to set up the intensity of the enhancement.

TIP. To copy processed images back to the original location, it is recommended to use Merge Folders functionality by choosing Main Menu > Tools > Merge Folders. This way all changes of the batch operation could be previewed on the screen before replacing original image files.
