Hint. To easily remove duplicate files, check the Duplicates Removal Tool from the Tool menu.
The duplicated files are shown in the Thumbnail View with a special label, which denotes number of found copies, including the original file.
The duplicate information may not be available immediately when a new folder is selected because ImageRanger needs to index the files first.
Windows OS Version only:
To view the exact location of all duplicated images, use the Show in Explorer command from the contextual menu.
Right Click on the image and select Show in Explorer:

ImageRanger uses advanced algorithms to locate duplicated image content. These algorithms are capable of locating similar images even when the files have different size or different metadata, such as Rating or Keywords.
Number of duplicate files
The number on the thumbnail picture denotes how many copies are found.
